Jerome’s journey into entrepreneurship was sparked—quite literally—by what he witnessed on the job. “I can’t count how many fires I’ve responded to that were caused by unmaintained dryer vents,” he shares. “As a firefighter, it’s heartbreaking to see how preventable these tragedies are.”

Fueled by this experience, Jerome founded Jobs Wel-Done to address a critical safety issue that many overlook: dryer vent maintenance. Equipped with a CDET certification—the only nationally recognized dryer exhaust credential—he brings unmatched expertise and credibility to every job. And in a poetic full-circle, the same pressurized water hoses he once used to put out fires inspired the pressure-cleaning techniques now used to prevent them.

You don’t always have to work for someone else—you can build something of your own.”

Now, as he prepares for retirement, Jerome is leaning into his second act—running a business that keeps him active, allows him to serve his community, and provides a platform for mentoring future entrepreneurs. “If I could give young people one piece of advice,” he says, “it’s this: don’t let fear stop you.
