Natural is Beautiful! Different is beautiful! These beliefs inspired us to create a natural line of hair care products for girls and enhance thick, afro textured, curly, coily and wavy hair. In addition to helping girls care for their beautiful hair, Vanessa’s Essence Natural Hair Care has a social mission to promote natural beauty in all girls and raise awareness of bullying. We want to inspire young girls to embrace their natural hair and love themselves as they are. Vanessa – a typical young girl who lived in a Florida suburb, liked listening to music, hanging out with her friends, playing violin, making crafts, and drawing. She became one of the thousands of American youth who was subjected to bullying. But, with the bullying came something unexpected, encouragement and support from friends and strangers. In reaction to the experience, Vanessa’s mom was inspired to do something positive for other girls. There is also a gap in the availability of natural hair care products for girls that highlight and strengthen naturally coily, curly, wavy, and kinky textured hair. And so, Vanessa’s Essence Hair Care was created.
